2 Day Ol Doinyo Lengai Trek
Mount Ol Doinyo Lengai, known as the “Mountain of God” in the Maasai language, is an active volcano located in the heart of the Great Rift Valley in northern Tanzania. Revered by the Maasai as a sacred place, it is the only volcano in the world that erupts natrocarbonatite lava, a rare and cooler type of lava that creates a surreal and unique landscape. Standing at 2,962 meters (9,718 feet), this mountain offers one of the most challenging yet rewarding climbs in East Africa. The 2-day trek is designed for adventurers who are short on time but eager to experience the thrill of climbing an active volcano, witnessing incredible sunrise views over Lake Natron and the vast Rift Valley.
